Regionals Preparations

Hello All!

Don't forget that you need to be thinking about your costume for the end of Comp party! The theme is 'Heroes and Villains', which gives plenty of scope.

On the first Saturday night we will be asking you to channel your inner Graham Paul and wear a flowery shirt to celebrate Caribbean night. Live reggae music and (hopefully!) cocktails will be available to get everyone in the right mood.

Just a reminder that the balance of the Regionals fee is due by the end of the month.

I'm pleased to announce that we have today decided the theme for the 2018 'end of comp' party. This year we will be dressing up as 'Heroes and Villains' which should give you all plenty of scope! I look forward to seeing the many different interpretations, whether channelling real life people (hopefully more heroes there than villains) or fictional characters. A few of you had a head start with superheroes last year....

Planning continues, and we have nearly completed finalising the entertainments schedule for the week - just need to pick that theme for the end of session party! Watch this space.....

Welcome to the Regionals

Hello All,

Welcome to the Shenington Regionals blog for 2018!

Our normal Regionals software Onglide is no longer available so we've created this blog as a way of keeping you up to date with activities and news about the competition. We also want to say a big thank you to Melissa for supporting us with Onglide for so many years.

The competition is now full for 2018, and we have a large waiting list. Things do change, so there is a good chance that some of those on the waiting list will make it to the competition, especially if you can be flexible about late changes to holiday dates. We are still accepting entries so if you want to join the list just email entry@shenington-regionals.co.uk with your details. On the same note, competition entry fees will always be refunded to competitors if we can find a replacement competitor.

So what is happening now?

Planning is already well under way for this year's Regionals. There will be one or two changes of personnel but the team is largely the same. Work has begun on an infrastructure project to improve our on site facilities, and the comp committee are busy organising entertainment and food for the week. The next task is to decide the theme for the end of session party!

The competition entry fee balance is due at the end of February. We will send out a reminder closer to the date, but in the meantime if your plans change, please contact us asap so we can offer your place to a pilot on the waiting list. If you have any queries then just send me an email.
