Sunday 24th

Still in the high pressure. Less top cover predicted today, forecast soaring area predominantly out to the east and central, but conditions likely to be weak and blue. First launch not before noon.

Saturday evening

We had a BBQ in the evening, and were entertained by the 'Frontline Band' playing Reggae, and Paul mixing up some Caribbean cocktails....a mellow night was had by all.

 

And it's a scrub....

Top cover spread...sniffer had some minor thermals but nothing good or high enough to launch the grid. Now everyone's fettling and parking up gliders. 'Caribbean night' later with BBQ, cocktails (maybe!) and a Reggae band.

AAT set - waiting for the weather.....

We have a 85-385km AAT Task set, now just a matter of waiting for the weather. There's a big lump of top cover sat over our region so we're grid squatting and eating lots of cake...

Regionals Preparations

Hello All!

Don't forget that you need to be thinking about your costume for the end of Comp party! The theme is 'Heroes and Villains', which gives plenty of scope.

On the first Saturday night we will be asking you to channel your inner Graham Paul and wear a flowery shirt to celebrate Caribbean night. Live reggae music and (hopefully!) cocktails will be available to get everyone in the right mood.
